Anger Management Session          12 Anger Management program

It is very common for those of us who are struggling with anger to almost strain ourselves in order to avoid anger-provoking situations. In fact, many of us have even gone as far as to talk with people closest to us requesting that they not provode us, because "you know what I'm like." Nice try! That isn't really taking responsibility as much as it is shifting responsibility  onto others.

Can I feel happy & in control while dealing with ANGER issues?

The short answer is, yes. When you are angry, you might feel like you want to explode at the whole world. Consider Anger Management. Psychology says that it's likely that you have been hurt (since this is true for all of us) and are still suffering (albeit unconsciously). Sometimes you might hurt others without realizing it, or you might hurt others intentionally. But instead of bottling up your anger until you explode, you can express your anger productively. How? Calm yourself down and then work on understanding your anger and other emotions while you're not angry. It then becomes easier to communicate your anger in an assertive manner that will be less likely to hurt others. If this sounds overly simplistic to you or if you're struggling to make this happen, consider consulting your Psychologist.

Anger can be a very challenging emotion and behavior to wrestle with, however, you can succeed. There is nothing really wrong with you, if you are also feeling alone, confused, nervous or angry. These feelings, like it or not, are normal. They are a signal to you, that you need to take control and to make some needed changes in your life. But control and change just might not be what you think. If you now have questions that you'd like answers to, I'm willing to talk to you. Just book your first appointment here.

When accountability, collaboration, and initiative are replaced by.......anger and blame, fragmentation and conflict, vicious cycles are set in motion. The longer this type of streak is allowed to continue, the more forces accumulate in the external world to reduce the ability to win, and the harder it is to change.  The first step in change is understanding.  But the doom loops of this type of streak are so entangled that it is difficult to see what is cause, and what is effect.  Rosabeth Moss Kanter, author of Confidence

Self Confidence

Mental health is a concept that refers to an individual's emotional and psychological well-being. Merriam-Webster defines mental health as "A state of emotional and psychological well-being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities, function in society, and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life." In practical terms practicing and strengthening our skill of "self-control" is really all that is required. Easier said than done.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there is no one "official" definition of mental health. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how "mental health" is defined. In general, most experts agree that "mental health" and "mental illness" are not opposites. In other words, the absence of a recognized mental disorder is not necessarily an indicator of mental health. We all live our lives on a continuum of mental health, none of us on either extreme end, but most of us live somewhere on this line neither fully healthy nor fully ill.

One way to think about mental health is by looking at how effectively and successfully a person functions. Feeling capable and competent; being able to handle normal levels of stress, maintain satisfying relationships, and lead an independent life; and being able to "bounce back," or recover from difficult situations, are all signs of mental health.  Wikia
